The Poptunity Story 

I stumbled into the world of balloons much like I did my career in Public Relations — completely by accident. Long before I had the title, I was already doing the work. At first, I found balloon decor to be intimidating, something I happily left to the pros while I focused on planning events.

That changed in 2023 when I created a balloon backdrop for a friend's celebration. It wasn’t perfect — it even fell off the wall — but I kept putting it back up because I could tell how much she appreciated the effort. I was hooked. In 2024, my best friend asked me to make a balloon arch for her baby shower. I remember thinking, “I’ve never done this before,” but she believed in me — and the result wasn’t bad at all!

After that, I started making balloon installations just for fun, using any occasion as an excuse to create something joyful. I’ve always loved hosting and making people feel special, and balloons became another way for me to do that.

It wasn’t until January 2025, when a total stranger told me I should be charging for my work, that I realized I might be onto something. That moment sparked the birth of Poptunity — a passion project turned business, built on creativity, community, and the power of making moments pop.
